As I became more involved with the team, additional responsibilities were conferred to me, including handling the interview process and onboarding/training of new hires and becoming the lead QAer responsible for checking all other developer's code for feature-completeness and standards adhesion before merging into the main release candidate. I was also given full rights to Jira to create not only ad hoc and bridge (missing/changed requirements) tickets, but also to break down user stories into feature tickets which the rest of the team then worked after the tickets were reviewed and pointed according to the Agile planning poker method.Despite the additional expansion of duties and the impact it has on my overall time spent coding, I still maintain an extremely high velocity that puts me at the top of the sprint board nearly every sprint as I become ever more efficient as a developer and solutions architect.

Primarily a Perl backend developer for AT&T Global Delivery and Assurance Business Operations team located in RTP, Durham, NC.The product I worked on is a single-page dashboard focused web application used by managers and directors. It is highly customizable with individual gadgets that can be added and further customized according to the needs of the user. My role was primarily to handle the more complex feature requests and drive development to meet deadlines, including eventually leading smaller groups of developers on related tickets that made a larger feature set, mentoring junior developers, and eventually becoming an architect of many of the new features.

Lead software engineer who created several mission critical tools for the Cisco Tactical Operations Team to assist in their mission of providing globally reaching emergency response connectivity to first responders and victims of critical infrastructure outages due to natural disasters such as hurricanes, wild fires, tornadoes, and other large scale incidents whether natural or man made.Additionally, mentored a Cisco TacOps member who had college classes in software development but limited practical professional experience so that he could own and maintain the tools after my contract expired.All contract obligations were delivered to the satisfaction of the entire TacOps team and their leadership.Tools included:- A dashboard for assessing network health while on location, deployed from and fully integrated within the Cisco NERV (Network Emergency Response Vehicles) trucks.- Implemented GUI based automation tools to change network backhauls (satellite, 4G/LTE) and re-load router configurations on-demand based on changing needs during developing incidents.- Personnel support tools for managing assets in field, including human resources.Main technologies used:- LAM(PHP) stack for web based application (GUI, scripting)- Python for interfacing with Cisco hardware (routers, switches)- Git for revision control- Splunk for network monitoring APIs- Jira for ticket/feature tracking and general Agile project management
