I started with Pavelcomm in the fall of 2004 to build up an outsourced IT division of a company that had set itself apart from the competition by providing exceptional customer service in the telecommunications market. Pavelcomm specializes in the programming, installation and ongoing support of business class phone systems in the Portland metropolitan area. They do this by truly listening to their customers. I carried the same philosophy to the Technical Services division.I was tasked with identifying the specific needs of our clients by analyzing business processes, understanding technical needs and staying abreast of advancements in technology so I could recommend, implement and support the technology infrastructure of many businesses with varied needs, budgets, and existing platforms. I often was called upon to assist our customers in building technology strategic plans and served in a consultant capacity as I would make recommendations for improvement that would meet their immediate needs but also serve the companies and organizations moving forward. I am most proud of the commitment that Pavelcomm had to working with many non-profits organizations throughout the area. Supporting these philanthropic endeavors was satisfying from a business perspective and also community building perspective.
Network Manager
Pacific Seafood purchased Northwest Staffing Resources in May of 2001. At the time of the acquisition I was the Technology Manager at NW Staffing but was asked by Pacific Seafood's Director of IT to move over to Pacific Seafood as their Network Manager.In this role I directed the activities of all staff responsible for network and telecommunications services supporting over 1,500 employees across 7 states. While Network Manager I was instrumental in directing several large scale projects including the implementation of a bio-metric timekeeping system and all the processing and distribution plants, all technology components of a new 65,000 sq. ft. distribution facility, moving all technology associated with three critical facilities into the new plant over one weekend while keeping operations up and running for the rest of the company, and selecting and implementing a new $120,000 communications systems.

I started out at NW Staffing in the high tech recruiting department but within months of joining the company, realized that the new CRM software application was being underutilized. I recommended to the CFO that a Corporate University should be established to train the users on this application and others that were vital to the business. He asked me to draft up a business plan and after some additional discussion I was promoted to Corporate Technical Trainer. Within 18 months I was moved to Technology Manager where I directed all network and communications projects, planning and budgeting for the company. Major accomplishments included assisting the firm in expanding the operations into California and Idaho adding 5 new offices in San Diego, Sacramento and Boise, and migrating the company from a hybrid Novell/Groupwise network to a Windows.Exchange network. I was also responsible for developing, writing and testing the Disaster Recovery and Preparedness Plan.
