∙ Provide integrated petroleum geoscience expertise and support to various investors, PE firms and independent operators.∙ Provided basin-to-prospect scale analysis of reservoirs and petroleum systems across the southern and western Delaware Basin (Permian Basin) for an investment firm. Correlated and mapped reservoirs, source rocks and seals, clarified facies relationships, identified structural styles and mechanisms, mapped normal, thrust and strike-slip faults and performed quantitative log analysis in the Devonian through Permian interval using hundreds of wireline logs integrated with regional geologic and geophysical data.∙ Performed detailed prospect, field, project and personnel evaluations on behalf of investors considering initiating or increasing funding with various companies and new start-ups in the Anadarko, Permian and Appalachian Basin.∙ Generated prospects, prospect leads and new play concepts for an independent operator in the Jurassic of southern Alabama and northern Florida. Loaded, balanced, tied and interpreted twelve 3D seismic surveys and over fifty 2D seismic lines, integrated with log, core, gravity and magnetic data across an area of over 1,400 square miles. Identified and described a new structural and trap style for the area related to volcanic intrusives; generated several new prospects based on the concept.

∙ Created a new geologic model and play definition to identify the original focus area for CHK’s Haynesville Shale play.∙ Evaluated other basins and formations for resource and conventional play potential, including the Williston Basin Bakken and Three Forks, Silurian-Devonian shales and carbonates of Michigan, Devonian shales and the Utica Shale in the Appalachian Basin, the New Albany Shale in the Illinois Basin and the Gulf Coast Smackover Formation.∙ Interpreted seismic data, well logs, etc. to define regional plays, generate prospects, enhance field developments and evaluate potential acquisitions in several areas including the N. Louisiana-E. Texas Salt Basin, Williston Basin and eastern Ohio.∙ Completed a detailed structural and reservoir model for the Hosston Sands at Simsboro Field in north Louisiana; initiated CHK’s development of the field with several successful field extensions and development of undrained fault blocks.∙ Evaluated CHK’s entire Louisiana acreage for the Bossier sand play, interpreting and integrating a massive inventory of logs, core, production, 2D seismic and 3D seismic data. Identified, mapped and drilled a Bossier Sand new field discovery on a faulted anticline related to underlying salt deformation.∙ Wrote petrophysical equations for the Geographix Prizm software to enhance and automate multi-well wireline log evaluations; designed automated lithology definition and correction routines for Prizm.∙ Trained and mentored other CHK geologists in geologic and geophysical interpretation, log analysis and mapping, including use of the Geographix software; wrote custom Prizm petrophysical routines for other geologists and engineers.∙ Prepared and gave presentations to multi-discipline teams, senior management and outside partners; created technical graphics for CHK investor presentations, partner discussions and annual reports.
