Construction ManagerPurdue Inhome Jan 2010 - May 2012West Lafayette, InI was part of the original graduate student design and proposal team that was selected to participate in the 2011 Solar Decathlon, www.solardecathlon.gov. I provided design, construction, and budget planning management for the team in the 2011 competition. I managed a construction crew of 30 students to build the INhome on campus, disassemble and rebuild in Washington, DC for the competition, then disassemble and rebuild back in Lafayette, Indiana. The Purdue INhome www.purdue.edu/inhome placed second overall in the international competition, first in Energy Balance, second in both Affordability and Comfort Zone contests. It is now on a permanent foundation with a HERS rating of -17. It is LEED Platinum Registered, Energy Star Certified, and Certified Gold Green through NAHB Research Center. It was also named the 2012 National Green Building Awards Project of the Year – Single Family Concept/Research-Academic. -
