I am currently a senior studying finance and microbiology at Ohio University. I will graduate in the spring of 2023 from the College of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences. I enjoy working in teams and problem solving as it allows me to challenge myself and further my education.While I have interest in all facets of finance, I aspire to become part of a financial team at a pharmaceutical company where I can utilize both of my degrees. I believe the pharmaceutical industry is fascinating and it is always expanding. I also have interests in corporate finance, investments, and real estate development. The skills that I have picked up from my biology classes will aid me in my journey to become a financial professional. Biology courses taught me how to critically think and see the big picture. They also sculpted my work ethic along with working a job all through college. While I am relatively new to the financial world, I feel like I’ve learned a lot, yet there is so much more to learn.   Courtside Pizza is a restaurant and bar located in Athens Ohio. I am currently a manager in the kitchen. On shift I manage groups of 3-5 coworkers to efficiently produce food during high demand work hours. Last year, I implemented a new cooking strategy for appetizers that allowed us to bolster production and increase sales by 5%. Tasks that I am responsible for on shift involve making food, customer service/relations, and finally, organization and distribution. My efficiency in the kitchen has allowed Courtside to not require as many people on shift at one time. Because of this, we have been able to cut kitchen wage expenses by 5-7%.
