Contracting Officer for the AEGIS Weapon System (ACAT I Major Weapon System). Installed on all Arleigh Burke Destroyers (DDG 51-127 // 64 commissioned & 11 under construction) and Ticonderoga Class Cruisers (CG 52-74 // 22 commissioned), as well as AEGIS Ashore sites in Poland & Romania and multiple allied ship platforms, the weapon system identifies, tracks, and destroys incoming missile attacks. It is our nations primary defense against Intercontinental Ballistic Missile threats and is the only operational radar weapon system capable of simultaneous warfare against over 100 air, surface, subsurface, and land launched missiles.

SeaPort-e ® is the Navy's electronic platform for acquiring support services in 22 functional areas including Engineering, Financial Management, and Program Management. The Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, Military Sealift Command, and the United States Marine Corps compete their service requirements amongst 2400+ SeaPort-e ® IDIQ multiple award contract holders. The SeaPort-e ® portal provides a standardized, efficient means of soliciting offers from amongst the diverse population of large and small businesses and their approved team members. All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded and managed using the SeaPort-e ® platform. SEA 022: Shipbuilding (PEO SHIPS / PMS 325)-Performed detailed cost analysis on ACAT-I shipbuilding procurements-Negotiated Requests for Equitable Adjustments derived from changes to OSHA regulations-Negotiated the procurement of 10qty 60' Jet Boats for FMS SaleSEA 025: Surface Warfare (PEO IWS / IWS 5.0) -Solicited, negotiated, and prepared contract documentation for sole source Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contracts, Basic Ordering Agreements (BOA), and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA).SEA 026: Undersea Warfare (PEO SUB / PMS 415, PMS 435, PMS 401) -Led a competitive ACAT III procurement from cradle to grave: developed an effective acquisition strategy based on extensive market research; created the solicitation with inputs from an Integrated Product Team of engineers, attorneys, and program managers; and ensured the evaluation followed the specifications in the RFP. Contract was awarded on schedule and without protest.

Worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) at the Pentagon, completing special projects for the Contract Policy and International Contracting (CPIC) division of the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP). Projects:-Streamling Defense procurement policies to reduce barriers to entry and promote efficiencies in the defense acquisition system; the resulting reform legislation was input in the FY 2016 National Defense Authorization Act.-Helped draft the “cloud-first” initiative by coordinating with SMEs across diverse government agencies (DISA, NIST, DoD) as well as senior policy makers on Capitol Hill and in the Pentagon.-Reported to the HASC and SASC on Foreign Military Sales and Undefinitzed Contracting Actions
