As a YA Librarian I am responsible for:-Managing and supervising part-time employees and volunteers.-Managing and cataloging the Young Adult Collection.-Excellent customer service both on the desk and behind the phone. -Recommending diverse titles to all demographics.-Conceptualizing, developing, and implementing promotional campaigns for library programs, databases, and materials.-Developing and maintaining creative promotional displays for in-branch materials.-Keeping up-to-date with literary news through a variety of old and new media including print, radio, websites, and podcasts.-Researching and maintaining databases of contacts sorted by topic, theme, or demographic.-Scheduling and assisting with outside organizations making appearances at library branches.

As an outreach associate I was responsible for: -Recommending diverse titles to all demographics in person behind the reference desk-Recommending diverse titles to all demographics online as a member of MCPL’s What Do I Check Out Next? team-Developing, scheduling, and attending frequent out-of-branch outreach presentations and information tables -Conceptualizing, developing, and implementing promotional campaigns for library programs, databases, and materials-Developing and maintaining creative promotional displays for in-branch materials -Maintaining consistent and productive relationships with individuals and institutions outside of the library -Keeping up-to-date with literary news through a variety of old and new media including print, radio, websites, and podcasts-Regularly updating and maintaining MCPL’s Facebook and Twitter accounts as a member of the Social Media Team-Researching and maintaining databases of contacts sorted by topic, theme, or demographic-Scheduling and assisting with author appearances at library branches.
