Owner Ceo
Current• Echo Arms has a line of consumer facing products geared towards the high-end tactical gun owner, particularly those who owned night vision devices. The product line included machined aluminum and steel parts, clothing and stickers, injection molded parts and more. I own all parts of the product creation process from design, manufacturing, and packaging. I machine aluminum and steel parts in house on my own machines. • Echo Arms also provides product design, development and manufacturing services to the high-end tactical gun market. Since 2015, I have been providing design engineering and light industrial design to brands like Noveske Rifleworks, Meridian Defense, Tri-arc Systems, Sons of Liberty Gun Works, BE Meyers and more. I work with the companies to provide on-brand, market relevant designs ready for manufacturing. I provide serialized 3d printed receivers for form and fit verification before heading to metal prototypes. Fully complete GD&T prints are provided for documentation, manufacturing and quality control purposes. As this grew, it became clear there was an opportunity to take the parts designed and manufacture for my clients as well. Since 2020, many of the designs I provided to clients also went to production under my roof.
Deployment Operations Materials Manager
•Established process for deployment planning. Prior to my role, the customer facing teams rarely had a good process for communicating each deployments’ needs with the teams that designed, manufactured and prepared hardware. I began by identifying the information necessary to completing an equipment deployment successfully. I worked this into a presentation template that the deployment owners used to kick off the event to all teams. The information from these kickoffs was then distilled into a series of interconnected Jira projects that allowed a high level dashboard tracking of all deployments, who had how much work to do, and overall status of each deployment. The final piece of the puzzle was creating a transition from Jira tickets to ERP system to build, buy, allocate, pull and ship all relevant hardware to each deployment. A documented process with defined phase gates and deliverables was iterated and implemented leading to a near 100% successful deployment process.•One of the larger stumbling blocks to scaling our deployment process ended up being the items that Anduril did not design and manufacture. I drew upon my technical experience and design engineering experience to source and spec out COTS product solutions for these items. This included a broad spectrum of items from McMaster-Carr parts to 5 figure military mesh radios. Because these were “simple” items, the organization frequently overlooked them or neglected them outright. This led to delays, frustrations and added expense for nearly every deployment. All items were brought into the same process to allow downstream teams to use the same process, part numbers, PLM and ERP systems to manage all items in a consistent efficient manner. Eventually this led to nearly 50% of the items needed to successfully install an Anduril system being items I put into our system.
