I started my career in telecom in the late 70’s with Leblanc and Royal Winnipeg. I was involved in several tower erections, re enforcement, and the new comer to the industry, (Digital), at the end of the 70’s. I am proud to say that I was one of a few crews that kicked off the cellular boom and was a part of installing some of the first towers built for (Cantel - AT&T). As you can imagine, I have seen a lot of changes since then, and have kept up with all the new technologies and schooling involved. Microwave, Fiber, etc. Companies I have been employed with are Leblanc and Royal-Winnipeg Man, Tower Manitoba-Winnipeg Man, Highlight Construction-Edmonton AB, Westower-Edmonton AB and Surrey BC, Since 2000, I have been operating as subcontractor to various companies, Highlight, Magnate, Telecon and Radian to mention a few.Also I have served customers direct such as, Rogers, SNC Lavalin, Glentel Wireless, Field Bridge, AEC, Wind / Freedom, Apex, Highlight, Ledcor, etc.In various cases, I have been responsible for the site completion from the greenfield.Inspection type work has been a part of our scope of work from time to time. I have been involved in Inspections involving the physical solutions at the time of inspections when requested. In the last few years with the ever expanding frequencies and technologies, I have been involved with more and more of this type of work.I take pride in my work completed and very much so, aesthetics, and my safety practises, along with my ability to complete projects on time and with minimal or no deficiencies. I am also proud to have learned from some of the hardest and most stringent groups of people, and proud of my contribution to the industry in all I have built with others and on my own, and knowing the men I have trained are still in the industry for the most part and some running successful operations on their own.
