I have over 34 years of experience in the insurance industry on both the insurance company and agency sides of the business. I obtained my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2002. In addition to the required coursework, the designation requires annual updates on current insurance topics. These updates help in staying current with changes in the industry.
