Manage real estate development and capital improvement projects to improve Portland's livability, economic development opportunities, and equitable outcomes. Owner's representative managing A/E and contractor teams, coordinating with public and private development partners, negotiating and monitoring development agreements, establishing long-term redevelopment and economic development strategies, acquiring and disposing of properties, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with neighborhood organizations, preparing project budgets, and direct the woingrk of teams and consultants. Key accomplishments include:* planning, design, and permitting for a $33.2 million mixed-use parking structure (completed in 2019) that supports the Hyatt Regency Hotel and was financed in partnership with TriMet;* overall project management for the leasing and tenant improvement team implementing Prosper Portland's first affordable commercial tenanting program at Alberta Commons focused on creating opportunities for African-American entrepreneurs (completed in 2019);* acquisition of the downtown Post Office site for $88 million (completed in 2016);* planning, design, and permitting for the 24,000 sf 100 Multnomah office building (currently in permitting);* negotiated development agreements that have resulted in more than $400 million in private investment and more than 200 units of affordable housing, including the Hoxton Hotel, 30 NW Davis (home of the University of Oregon's Sports Product Management Program), AC Hotel, The Vera affordable housing development by Bridge Housing, and developments at Burnside Bridgehead completed by Key Development, Beam Development/U+DP, and Guerrilla Development;* completion of The Fields Neighborhood Park in 2013 and Director Park in 2009 representing public investments of more than $15 million; and* established Portland's first railroad Quiet Zone in 2010.

Elected to two terms representing downtown Salem and close in neighborhoods in Oregon's capital and metropolitan area of approximately 400,000 residents. As one of seven Directors, provided policy direction and oversight of $40 million budget and annual ridership of approximately 3 million. During my tenure I emphasized conversion to biofuel fleet and high frequency service on high ridership routes.
