CurrentI currently give instruction in a few different class formats:1. The complete Yang and Wu styles of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung (Qigong). The complete Yang and Wu styles of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung (Qigong). Teachings include the empty-hand forms, weapon forms, push hands, martial (self-defence) applications, Chi Kung for health benefits, and Chi Kung for martial power.2. Chi Kung (Qigong) sessions of six-weeks. These classes focus on the stance training and some dynamic Chi Kung sets. The focus is for health and well-being, and does not have a martial art component. 3. Youth class for children ages 9-14. This class runs throughout the school year, and introduces children to Tai Chi Chuan as a form of fitness and self-defence. A colour ranking system using bandanas is used in this class to assist students in their attainments.4. Private instruction is available.5. I offer shorter workshops to public schools, universities and corporate organizations that are tailored to suit their particular interests and needs.6, Basic self-defence (aimed at women and youth). This class focusses on the proper attitude and preparation to have in order to be safer on the street and at home. Various simple self-defence techniques are used to help the individual get out of typical physical attacks made by someone who is typically bigger and stronger than the victim. Show less
