I have been practicing nursing since 1990 in a variety of settings including, oncology, Emergency Room, Operating Room, Med/Surg, ICU, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry and addictions. Since completing my Masters Degree I have also added the title of Professor of Nursing. I have always loved to teach and I think that is what drew me to nursing in the first place and why my first love is psychiatric nursing. I have worked in Nursing Leadership since 2001 as a manager and later as Director of Behavioral Health and the Assistant Vice President for Clinical Services with responsibility for outpatient physician practices, behavioral health, and IS/IT services at Clifton Springs Hospital. After leaving Clifton Springs I founded an outpatient clinic practice for treating mental health and Substance Use Disorders before returning to a hospital setting in 2017 as the Director of Behavioral Services at Cayuga Medical Center.
