I completed Resident Engineer training in January 2020 through the Caltrans Local Assistance program. I am now officially certified to manage projects funded with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) funds. I was doing this before but Caltrans will now accept my signature on project documents. The City of Cloverdale has also added labor compliance to my list of responsibilities including contract development and prevailing wage determinations. I am currently (Spring 2020) overseeing 4 public contract procurements totaling a value of $1.8M for the City of Cloverdale. I was promoted to Senior Engineering Technician with the City of Cloverdale Public Works Department on July 1, 2017 and was granted official supervisory responsibility. During my tenure with the City I have assumed responsibility for management of the City's federally funded street maintenance projects, storm water protection program and the City's NPDES permits (the City has two). These responsibilities are in addition to my regular duties regarding commercial development inspection, construction permit plan check, encroachment permits, hazardous materials storage facilities operated by the City and their monitoring systems. I also prepare plans/blueprints for City projects, liaise with other regulatory agencies and manage construction of City Projects (street preservation, utilities, Accessibility improvements and facility maintenance).Storm water quality management was added to my duties in 2015 with the adoption of City of Cloverdale Municipal Code Section 16.10. Section 16.10 which provides the City authority to manage storm water entering and discharging from its Municipal Storm Sewer System (MS4). I co-authored this Code Section.
