Senior Director - Infrastructure Telco Services Reliability Engineering
CurrentAs the Telco Service Reliability Engineering Lead, I manage a global, highly skilled team, overseeing the full life cycle of Telco Infrastructure through ITIL principles in request, problem, change and capacity management, as well as diversity reliability engineering best practices. I ensure compliance with Visa's Golden Rules of Change and Procurement while building and leading the Telco Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) program. In this role, I collaborate with Global Network Architecture, Engineering, Operations, and Automation Development to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.I continuously improve infrastructure reliability across SD-WAN, MPLS, DIA, and Wavelength technologies, ensuring 99.99999% availability through effective capacity management and BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocol optimization.Key Responsibilities:Lead and inspire Telco Reliability Associates to set aggressive goals, drive innovation, and manage risk, ensuring Visa’s availability and reliability standards.Foster a culture of vendor accountability, working with Global Telco providers, Field Technicians, and Import/Export suppliers to meet Visa’s service delivery and reliability objectives.Act swiftly in response to service disruptions, capacity constraints, and configuration errors, while proactively addressing single points of failure.Collaborate with Visa Operations Command Center, Network Support, and Service Reliability Teams to meet Visa’s security and reliability objectives.Manage TCO for Telco, oversee circuit inventory, and ensure OPEX and CAPEX budgets are met within +/- 3%, including router installations, moves, and decommissions.I bring expertise in network infrastructure reliability, including LEO satellite technology, vendor management, and financial management (RFPs, competitive analysis, budgeting), ensuring Visa’s Telco infrastructure is robust, secure, and aligned with business goals.
