Provide leadership to 15 UAW employees in meeting department objectives in areas of Customer Service, Inventory Management, Shipping and Receiving. Responsible for the development and implementation of actions to reduce Finished Goods inventory to levels that achieve or surpass DOS objectives.

Supervise and coordinate work assignments for 85-90 UAW employees in spark plug final assembly and packaging operations. Directly responsible for production goal of 367,000 parts per shift. Proactively work to maximize throughput by effectively managing changeovers, inventory shortages, maintenance issues, etc.

Responsible for weekly/monthly inventory reports, forecasts and reconciliations, as well as leading monthly reviews with the Materials department on inventory levels, targets and action plans. Additional responsibilities include updating, reviewing and analyzing all standard cost and catalog price changes.

Support the Director of Logistics in achieving annual transportation savings goals. Worked closely with UPS managed Distribution Centers to monitor and audit monthly budgets, and met monthly with UPS managers to support and maintain the Transportation AOP.Perform month end closing duties, including preparation of standard and miscellaneous journal entries, loading of journal entries into JDEdwards ledger system, and additional support roles related to the migration of Walker G/L system to JDEdwards.
