 Facilitation Management –Transition Readiness Seminars were divided into two categories Executive Career Transition Seminars consisting of MSgt (E8) to Col. (O6); Separation Class PFC (E2) to Sgt. (E5). Facilitated the DoD mandated Military Occupational Crosswalk (MOC) portion of the TRS Seminars. The MOC Crosswalk assist the Marines in identifying their current Military Occupational Code and how it translates to a civilian occupation. Worked with recruits (CACI, Lockheed Martin, Booz/Allen/ Hamilton) to present opportunities via in person or virtually during the session. Presenters would target their presentation to the skill level and experience of the participants. Facilitated a total of 17 TRS Classes with a total of 401 Marines served. Training -Conduct the training of the USMC Unit Transition Coordinators (UTC) for the National Capital Region in accordance with Marine Corp Order 1700.31, “Transition Readiness Program.” and MAR ADM 632/19. UTC are trained to facilitate all transition activities with the Transition Assistance Program office. UTC will identify and meet with Marines to discuss items and expectations in preparation to complete: Initial Counseling, Pre-Separation Counseling, TRS, and Capstone. Sourcing Implementation – Completed 260+ Individual Initial Counseling (IC) Sessions in accordance with MARADMIN 632/19 to verify all pre-work has been provide to the Transition Readiness office. This is where the Marine would be assigned their Tier Level (1-3) based on factors discussed during counseling based on their post separation/retirement goals. Utilize “My Next Move for Veteran” website to enter in their Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) to assist in identifying potential post Marine Corp career opportunities. Screen and qualified separating/retiring Marines to refer to potential employer partners such as: Montgomery County Parks& Planning, DC Superior Courts, United States Capitol Police to name a few.

 Project Coordination – Spearheaded and marketed the Fall 2019 Internship Fair with an overall budget of $2,500.00 dollars. Identified 40 employers that represent the government, non-profit and private sector and register them for the internship fair. The fair was attended by 315 students and 5 faculty members. Applicant Tracking System – Utilized Handshake to market on campus recruiting events (internships or employment via email or twitter to students based on their major and grade level that match the position which the employer was looking for. Created job posting for employers. Collected data from 200+ graduating seniors at the end of each term (Fall, Spring) to completed the First Destination Survey and enter the information In to Handshake. First-Destination Survey captures information regarding how new college graduates fare in their careers within six months of graduation. Sourcing Implementation – Strategically worked with Deans and Department Chairs within each of the four school and college on campus. Assessing the types of internships needed bases on the majors within those four schools and colleges and screened qualified students. Students successfully received internships with: Internal Revenue Service; District of Columbia Superior Court Office of the Audit Master; Smithsonian, U.S. Department of Transportation.

 Career Counseling – Conduct career counseling sessions for total of 25+ youth by creating Individual Employment Plans (IEP). Developed an Intake Form to assist with identifying an occupational as well as educational requirement. Assisted with each youth creating and having a resume, in all completed 25+ resumes. Sourcing Implementation – Structure and negotiated MOUs with public/private entities to offer internship opportunities within Montgomery County Maryland under a grant provide by the Maryland Department of Labor Youth Workforce Programs and Services (WIOA). Established internship with Montgomery Community College Athletic Department (Takoma Park MD Campus), Arepas Pues (Downtown Silver Spring), A Wider Circle (Silver Spring MD). Established WIOA Educational Opportunities with ASM Education which provides Network + certification, CompTIA A+ certification, MCSA certification, CCNA and security + and Amazon AWS certificate.

 Employment Outreach – Spearheaded the design and developed of advertising and promotion materials to expand the employment opportunities for the students completing the Leasing for Property Management or Apartment Maintenance. Connected with companies such as Edgewood/Vantage Management, Southern Management, Douglas Development. Community Outreach – Spearhead the outreach efforts to identify, recruit and retain students to the Workforce Development and Life Long Programs (WDLL) Construction and Property Management Pathway. WDLL focuses on industries that provide the highest number of employment opportunities within the District of Columbia. Created marketing material and initiated outreach efforts within the District of Columbia at locations such as: Edgewood Brookland Family Support Collaborative, Walmart (NE DC), Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy Public Charter School (NE DC), Golden Rule Apartments (NW DC), Beat the Street DC (collaboration with community organizations and DC Metropolitan Police Department).

 Case Management -Provided individual counseling for a caseload of 10+ individuals with various mental challenges. Designed individualized employment plans (IEP) and goals, documenting all client contact, treatment, and progress towards client’s goals in Electronic Health Records (EHR), conducting mock interviews with clients and reviews resumes preparing the client for their job search, maintaining contact with the client’s employer to ensure that the client is adjusting well and is available to discuss any potential issues with the employer and client.

 Management – Supervised a staff of 10 teachers and 10 aides at two District of Columbia Public School Sites. Lead 5 teachers and 5 aides at John Burroughs Educational Campus and 5 teachers and 5 sides at Noyes Educational Campus. Developed the weekly schedules, monitored daily timesheets to be submitted to school’s Business Manager. Program Management - Managed the Afterschool Program at John Burroughs Educational Campus and Noyes Education Campus which consisted of a total of 40 students at each site. Conduct student registration, created classes and entering student’s attendance daily into S.T.A.R.S (Student Tracking Access Records). Developing partnerships with local organizations, corporations, and higher institutes of learning to bring various educational enrichment programs to the afterschool program.

 Case Management - Managed a caseload of 25+ TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) customers. Administered E/BFSC assessments in data base system ETO (Efforts to Outcomes), developed and amending Individual Responsibility Plan (IRP) and workforce development coaching. Entered data in the District of Columbia Department of Human Services C.A.T.C.H System.
