About Eric Jones
It is extremely difficult to categorize my life and ambitions. I guess you can call me passionate. I have heard others call me determined. I'll agree with that assumption. In 2014, I ran my first full marathon. I remember everything about that the training and the preparation. When the big day arrived, I was full of anxiety and my nerves were on edge. When the gun sounded, I remember saying to myself "26.2"! Are you insane! After mile 18, I have to admit I thought about quitting. Then I remembered why I was running in the first place. You see, all my life I've been faced with many challenges. However, I didn't let my challenges make any excuses for not accomplishing what I wanted in life. I’m one of “The Few” to graduate Marine Corps boot camp and served honorably. I graduated from college and yes, I finished that race just like the many other accomplishments of my past and present. The future is looking good. I have enjoyed my career as law enforcement officer. My experience as a Detective has been invaluable. I have developed an excellent ability to conduct investigations utilizing the newest technology. I owe a lot of my successful career to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Thank you! Now that I am retired, I plan to utilize my training and experiences I’ve received in life after law enforcement. I look forward to the challenges ahead.
