I think about the future, a lot. This probably comes from my early love of science fiction and astronomy. Looking to the stars, after all, is like travelling through time. I wonder, what will the world be like in a thousand years? Or a million? I think about all the challenges we're facing in getting there – inequality, injustice, cruelty to animals and each other, existential risks, and more – and I realize that for most of us, before we're even to consider this future, there's work to do to get through today. So I ask myself, what am I doing to help make the world a better place today? This is my calling to work in the advocacy space, working for positive change, to get us one step closer to that better future we all hope for.Outside of storytelling – or perhaps squarely in the middle of it – creating music is my passion. Next to that, you're likely to find me on the trail running, at home cooking a simple but delicious vegan meal, or watching the latest A24 film.Bio: Eric (he/him) primarily produces video, audio, motion graphics, and written content. Most of his work has been in the nonprofit, academic, and freelance film sectors centering on numerous issues such as animal welfare, racial equity, sustainability, education, art, leadership, advocacy, philanthropy, effective altruism, and science. Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Creative Media and Film and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Northern Arizona University. He also obtained his Master of Arts in Applied Communication with a Documentary Studies emphasis and a graduate certificate in Science Communication from Northern Arizona University.
