Key Tasks. 1. Directing, coordinating and managing the company’s operations and maintenance of infrastructure to ensure that water and sewerage services are provided at the required standards.2. Developing a customer focus to the provision of services by forming and maintaining good working relations with customers.3. Managing all major and minor construction works, either by using external consultants or in-house resources.4. Ensuring proper management of the company’s assets such as plant and machinery through effective maintenance and repairs so as to maximize the return on investment.5. Developing departmental strategies, policies and plans to facilitate achievement of overall company’s objectives.6. Carrying out technical surveys , Pipeline design and preparation of bills of Quantities and supervision of pipeline laying. 7. Liaising with various bodies and individuals, including local authorities, government agencies, clients, contractors, residents, suppliers, technical experts, water boards and consultants during project implementation and reporting.8. Maintaining and expanding the portfolio of clients, by developing professional relationships that lead to secure repeat business.9. Managing staff, including other engineers, technicians and site workers and non technical staffs.10. Preparation of work schedules, budget estimates and asset inventory.11. Preparation of Tender Documents.

1. Assist with administering construction contracts by monitoring /inspecting Contractor`s work for compliance with the plans, specifications and schedules, monitoring and coordinating the collection of the material samples for testing, coordinating construction surveys. 2. Assist in the preparation of interim payment certificates for the Contractor for the works satisfactorily completed. 3. Assist in negotiating and preparing documentation for changes in claims by reviewing and evaluating change claim request, preparing engineer’s estimate for change order and maintaining records on unit price for materials, labor and equipment. 4. Assist in the approval of Contractor payment certificates by verifying reviewing, and preparing quantity and progress estimates and forms for payment.5. Monitoring and coordinating safety during drilling and during construction of civil works by ensuring that the project is done in accordance with the applicable safety regulations ,reporting safety ,traffic hazards and defective work to the Contractor for correction and preparing and issuing appropriate reports for compliance documentation.6. Assist with construction management activities by participating in and conducting planning ,preconstruction ,coordination ,progress, scheduling ,site and field staff meetings ,preparing project documentation including inspector`s daily report ,construction records, reviewing plans specifications ,preparation of shop drawings and as built drawing records, reviewing and monitoring Contractor`s approved construction baseline schedule ,preparing and initiating field change notices and ensuring all required tests ,operations, measurement, and inspections are scheduled, ordered ,and satisfactorily completed and documented .
