With the City of Berkeley, I accomplished the following:•Managed the City’s Building Energy Saving Ordinance by assisting 200+ local residents and businesses achieve compliance, leading many building owners to perform energy upgrades and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.•Authored sea level rise sections of the City’s Local Hazard Mitigation Plan for FEMA compliance.•Created an informative map of the City’s energy usage by zip code using GIS and data analysis for the department’s residential energy report.

As a graduate intern at the Office of Planning and Research (OPR), my projects include the following:•Collaborated with local and state agencies to create case studies for the State’s Integrated Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program (ICARP) clearinghouse.•Researched and reported out climate adaptation finance mechanisms, i.e. climate bonds, for the State’s ICARP Technical Advisory Council. •Managed an advisory project on biofuels for the Executive Director to collaborate with local leaders on sustainable energy development in Sumba Island, Indonesia.

The Center for Climate Systems Research (CCSR) is a part of NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and The Earth Institute at Columbia University. At CCSR, I completed the following:•Collected and identified key indicators from multiple international climate action plans to tailor for New York City;•Communicated pertinent resilience metrics to the Indicators and Monitoring Systems group for the New York City Panel on Climate Change and the third assessment report;•Collaborated with the World Wildlife Fund to identify climate sensitivity thresholds of vulnerable species and ecosystems.
