Account Manager
Current• Assist in managing all day-to-day operations and sales efforts.• Price brokerage services based upon knowledge of lane and carrier capacity information while keeping company margin goals within set guidelines.• Manage accounts to maintain existing relationships and grow new business.• Negotiate rates and establish service expectations with carriers for brokerage services. • Verify carrier qualifications in regards to insurance, operating authority and credit.• Utilize TMS to track and trace daily shipments to ensure proper pick up and delivery expectations are met. • Accept and build EDI customer orders. • Effectively source truckload capacity. • Back-office support to include invoicing customers, approving vendor payments and ensuring proper receipt of paperwork.• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments utilizing different software applications such as Ryder, C3 and Retalix.
