I was the real estate assistant for two of the lawyers in the firm. I handle on average 17-20 closings per month, including purchase, sale and mortgage transactions. I also program and update master documents in the Conveyancer program, and have contributed to streamlining the bookkeeping process for real estate transactions. I have also managed the office lottery pool for the past year and a half.

In a small firm, defined roles are less common than in larger firms. This is an office with four full time employees, two of whom are the partners. Everyone helps out wherever possible, contributing their unique skills. In addition to handling real estate for Mr. Noble. I also helped with the project of converting the office to a paperless one, including archiving closed files. It was at Noble & Gadient that I became more proficient in PC Law, and l was also introduced to HotDocs.
