From 2003 through 2007, Mr. Karp was one of Bank of America’s most senior investment bankers serving as Global Head of the Financial Sponsors Group leading a team of 200+ bankers providing corporate finance and M&A services to the world’s largest private equity firms. He grew this business from $100 million to $800 million and Bank of America moved from a second tier position to become one of the top three firms in one of the most competitive segments of investment banking. His primary responsibilities included working with important clients, overseeing transactions, recruiting the team, developing internal process and controls and interacting with risk management, compliance and regulators (SEC, OCC). In addition, he was designated as a member of Investment Banking Management Committee, Capital Commitment Committee, Debt and Equity Underwriting Committees and Business Selection Committee.In 2006, Mr. Karp identified an opportunity for and was selected by BAC CFO to execute a strategic carve-out of Conversus Capital from Bank of America which was completed in 2007 (largest publicly traded private equity fund of funds. AMS:CCAP).

Mr. Karp provided business strategy and capital markets advice to a global family office.
