CurrentResponsible for the management, ordering and tracking of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Responsible for the installation of tracking software for the management of a quarter million dollars yearly in disposable supplies as well as capital items in the tens of millions of dollars. First EMS service in the state of South Carolina instituting a supply dispensing machine which can be managed remotely, to track employee transactions, drug lots, expiration dates and par product usage needed for budgetary purposes. Also first EMS agency in South Carolina to incorporate the use of WASP Inventory Control and Asset Management software. Oversees all maintenance agreements, manages service schedules and repair of medical equipment. Manages the disbursement of all uniforms for 150 employees. Manages the condition of the EMS Operations Center and 10 additional EMS substations. Orders supplies for day to day operations for the department. Forecasts to growth and need of medical supplies and capital purchases for the fiscal year budgets, has the responsibility of writing or direct insight in 75% of the departments budget regarding expenditures, not related to payroll or administrative budget lines. Maintains a certification in County Risk Management (field level) as well as NREMT paramedic certification, AMLS,ACLS, PEPP CPR. Continues to respond on a limited basis to calls of emergency medical care in critical situations. Maintains licensure with DOJ, DEA and state departments in the management and distribution of pharmaceuticals to include class II and IV drugs.
