About Eric Klett
I am a physician-scientist with clinical training in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism. My NIH funded awards enabled me to gain expertise in fatty acid, eicosanoid and phospholipid biochemistry and metabolism. This expertise is demonstrated by the several manuscripts I have authored or co-authored on hepatic triacylglycerol and acyl-CoA metabolism and on lipid signaling and insulin resistance.I am interested in connecting with like-minded professionals who are also dedicated to understanding the roles of lipid metabolism in the development of diabetes, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and other associated cardiometabolic diseases. I am interested in applying my skill set to help discover novel therapies to treat these disease states.
