- Implemented Patient Centered Medical Home Model- Served on Medical Executive Committee, generating regular reports- Ensured integrity of data input, extraction and analytics for clinical quality improvement processes across multiple platforms- Established policies and procedures for Peer Review process to ensure regulatory compliance, and subsequently chaired committee- Established policies and procedures for compliance with regulations for provider prescribing of controlled substances- As Chief Medical Information Officer, worked to optimize use of eClinicalworks (outpatient) and Meditech (inpatient) while selecting and transitioning to an integrated platform (Athenaworks)- Designed and initiated innovative office practice support staffing model to improve employee retention, service and quality of clinical care- Facilitated improved hospital-community integration - including dental care, mental health, poverty elimination nonprofit, and supporting nearby community college education in medical career paths

- Led and/or presented in staff meetings, department meetings, work groups, etc., as Associate Medical Director, Chief of Family Medicine, and Chair of Epic Optimization Committee- Worked closely with information technology and electronic medical records staff to optimize clinical systems, facilitating end-user effectiveness along with performance and quality data for continuous improvement. This included: o clearly defining payor-negotiated quality outcomes, o literature review for formulating and implementing protocols, o attaching desired quality outcomes to compensation, o periodically redesigning and negotiating provider contracts- Piloted and subsequently optimized patient-physician virtual communications- Improved cross-specialty integration within healthcare systems, including piloting specialty e-consults- Led initiatives to transform office practices to the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care- Chaired working committee of primary care and specialist physicians with clinical and non-clinical staff representatives in screening, developing, and disseminating changes in network use of the Epic electronic health record to ensure data integrity for analysis and use in continuous quality improvement- Served on Accountable Care Organization committee, tasked with preparing and transitioning Elliot system to join other hospital networks in an Accountable Care Organization; the primary focus was data integrity and correlation of measures and reports across systems- Collaborated to establish Elliot network policies and procedures for prescribing of controlled substances- Taught and mentored medical, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students

- Oversaw clinical operations including Medical, Laboratory, Optometry, Public Health- Ensured accuracy of and compliance with Policies and Procedures, leading to excellent ratings on periodic inspections- With rank of Major, served as senior officer on two deployments

- Developed curriculum, taught undergraduate Physiology and Pathophysiology courses.
