Senior Thesis:Analyzed galaxy clusters as X-ray sources in search of emission line brightest cluster galaxies that were missing in 160 Square Degree Survey; an effort to serendipitously detect high-redhsift X-ray emitting galaxy clusters.Extensive use of Python and Excel to sort through massive data files.

Optical Astronomy:Created and analyzed light curves of cataclysmic variable stars and X-ray binary systems.Cataclysmic variable stars are binary star systems that consist of a white dwarf accreting matter from its larger companion star, causing the white dwarf's luminosity to increase exponentially.X-ray Binaries are similar to cataclysmic variable stars, but instead consist of a neutron star rather than a white dwarf. Due to the a stronger gravitational field at the surface, the neutron star begins to emit X-rays during these events.
