Served on many other projects providing network engineering for upgrades, updates and conversions. Provided staff augmentation to a client for network architecture duties. Built out new Cisco ACI Multi-pod environment to share VLANs across two data centers. Built out new Cisco ACI Multisite environment. Built out new F5 Viprion for LTM, AFM, GTM. 11/16 - 12/18 - Work with clients utilizing MPLS, Meraki VPN, Cisco ASA VPN, F5 load LTM, APM, AFM, Viprion. I added new Cisco ISE servers to provide TACACS for all network devices. I added 2 new pairs of Cisco ASA devices in a multi-context format. I am also responsible for the maintenance of our Infoblox environment. I have also built out 3 Cisco ACI pods in our 2 data centers.9/08 - 11/16 – Team lead and Sr. Network Engineer.This role consists of team lead and architecture design for External Access, Sprint user Campus, and wireless technologies. I engineer designs that involve Cisco routers, switches, Nexus, ASAs, as well as Juniper firewalls, F5 load balancers, and Aruba Wireless. I also oversee eight teammates working on the same type projects.03/02 to 09/08 – Sr. Network Engineer working in the Data Center/External Access group. Provide design and configurations for data center projects. Provide design and configurations for all external connections coming into Sprint including vendor, employee access, and firewall DMZ. Lead all major projects for the data center team. Lead 6-7 major maintenance release changes per year to upgrade network equipment and configurations within the data center. This included coordinating the outage with affected parties. Responsible for developing all junior level network engineers.08/01 to 03/02 – Supervisor for Sprint PCS network operations group. Performed leadership duties for the operations team. Made sure the operations of the network were kept up to date and issues did not go over SLA. Network Engineer
As a member of the Infrastructure team, I have led many large projects within our two data centers at Netsmart. I was responsible for bringing in new Cisco ASA devices to be used for VPN instead of routers, and introduced our group to using IKEv2. I also led the initiative to install Cisco ISE for TACACS. Within the last year, we have built 3 different ACI pods. We utilize many F5 technologies including Viprion, LTM, AFM, and APM. Currently, I am in charge of several significant rerouting projects utilizing EIGRP, BGP, and ISIS.

I have over twenty years of experience as a network engineer/team lead/supervisor. Over the last few years, I have been a Supervisor/team lead for the edge network team doing all major projects which includes leading teams, providing direction, design, and leadership. Our team deals with Aruba WIFI, extranet vendors using VPN, Cisco routing, Cisco VPN, and Juniper firewalls.I have also had experience in leading the data center team. I led six to eight network releases each year which involved coordinating the outage, teams, and testing. It was a very strategic operation due to the sensitive nature of each upgrade and enhancement.
