He arrived with 30 years of experience in employee benefits brokerage and consulting. Skilled in TCOR (total cost of risk) methodologies, Eric advises employers in LEAN Benefits Management techniques. His mantra: Investigate and understand all your options (Check 173), buy the services that you need only when you need them, and take control of your benefits plans.Prior to joining Risk International, Eric served as senior vice president and group benefits business leader for Oswald Companies, where he helped transform the firm into a regional powerhouse in benefits brokerage and consulting. He began his career with Aetna and later formed the benefits division for a regional property + casualty agency.“I’m always looking to make a meaningful impact during every one of my engagements,” he notes. “Instead of saying ‘no, because…’ I prefer to say ‘yes, if….’”A graduate of the University of Toledo, Eric’s professional designations include GBA, ChFC and CLU. He has served on national advisory boards for Aetna, United HealthCare, CIGNA and Guardian, as well as regional groups for Medical Mutual, Anthem and Kaiser Permanente. Since 2011, he’s committed a great deal of time presenting at conferences, seminars and webinars on various subjects, including health exchanges/marketplaces.
