 Lead a team of procurement managers across different geographies to support Lubricants Sales & Marketing function’s procurement requirements in Asia Pacific region with heavy focus in China. Also support strategic requirements of China Retail business in IT, Payment & Loyalty, and Commercial Fleet. Deliver cost savings and other value improvements to business via fit-for-purpose sourcing strategies, seamless execution, and effective contract management.  Maintain holistic view of the managed portfolio in the region to drive continuous improvement such as contract rationalization and supplier consolidation across region as well as across different lines of business to leverage full procurement potential. Implement and operationalize global contracts locally, and collaborate with global team in supplier management, risk mitigation, and issues resolution.  Engage with senior business stakeholders to gain feedback on suppliers’ performance and visibility in business strategy and demand to maintain a forward-looking procurement plan. Develop staff’s skills and competences via coaching, knowledge sharing, training and on-the-job development. Accountable for full compliance of company procurement processes and guidelines.

 Being a member of the IT Infrastructure Category Management team, which is accountable for the commercial and contract management of the Shell’s 3 global IT outsourcing contracts. Manage third party spend on fixed and mobile voice services on a global basis to deliver “value for money” and assure supply of services at market competitive rates. Lead a team of Change Managers to manage the Contract Change Process to strive for consistency and efficiency in supporting all contract changes. Support business initiatives related to new country entry and divestment by working with the suppliers to enforce contractual obligations and to manage necessary contract changes. Lead commercial negotiations in key areas including new services development, scope changes, and projects classification to prevent value leakage and to assure continuous good value for money. Ensure supplier delivers the scope of the outsource contract and thus the business case while at the same time assuring that the company meets its own contractual obligations. Lead operationalization of contracts across all 140+ countries and facilitate transfer of third party agreements. Define post award contract management requirements considering alignment with the category strategies and business needs.

 Seconded from Cable & Wireless to perform as the Regional Commercial Manager for Asia Pacific with the objective to lead and develop the strategic procurement function in Shell’s global telecommunication organization.  Identify, prioritize, and implement cost saving projects to deliver the cost savings target at both regional and global level.  Review and provide guidance to team members as well as procurement colleagues in other business on project procurement strategy to ensure sound commercial approach, best practice, and alignment with global category strategy as well as compliance to corporate procurement guidelines. Provide commercial support including strategy development and execution to complex projects. Manage the procurement resources in the region to provide timely and effective commercial support and contract management to meet business requirements. Support the organization’s endeavor to become a world class IT organization with key focus on unit cost reduction, service quality, supplier consolidation and rationalization. Develop relationship with key strategic suppliers and keep abreast of the telecom market conditions, technologies, and trends.
