I was responsible for integration testing of multiple Symantec products in complex environments including stand alone servers and highly available clusters. This starts with the initial planning phase and ends with the writing of the final test report.• Performed manual and automated integration testing of Symantec products. Reviewed new features and designs, created test plans, created test cases, performed testing, reviewed customer documentation, and created the final test reports for testing projects. • Performed Integration testing between Symantec products• Worked as an individual contributor performing manual test cases, collecting logs, testing features and documentation, filing incidents, and tracking progress• Worked as a team of one and as the team lead on different projects working to ensure progress, accountability, and effectiveness of the testing project efforts. Addressed problems as they arose, found solutions, and adapted as requirements and needs changed during a project’s testing cycle.• Reviewed and corrected customer documentation to ensure validity, usability, and consistency to improve the customer experience• Worked customer escalations by determining the customer’s issue. Designed and performed tests to cover the issue and documented my findings internally to the product teams and externally to the customer.• Reviewed customer support call data looking for trends and testing gaps which needed to be addressed to improve testing coverage• Reviewed engineering functional design documents to address supportability, customer usability, and project integration issues before implementation work began• Performed systems administration tasks for the lab’s production servers and storage arrays including NFS, DNS, NIS, DHCP, system installation, Samba, SAN configuration, console access, and troubleshooting
