Hi. I’m Eric. I hope to be your new ‘Go-To’ Freelance Editor & Drone Operator. A little bit about me: I’ve had a video camera on my shoulder since the age of 12. I was constantly recording my buddies and our shenanigans in high school. Editing personal skydiving videos was one of my favorite hobbies until a few years ago.After graduating from college I was a wedding videographer which led me to my dream career - Camera Operator at QVC. I relished the fast-paced, live, retail presentations. There, I worked my way up the ranks to an award-winning Broadcast Senior Technical Director, while still filming live TV with the jib or Steadicam.During 22 years at QVC, I directed remote live productions in Italy, England and everywhere in the USA. We beamed shows to more than 250 million people worldwide. While there, I also became extremely proficient in audio, editing and graphics.I left QVC in 2016 to Co-Found a production company, Koi-Fly Creative. At Koi-Fly, my partner and I produced branded content, live stream productions and TV commercials. We worked with scrappy start ups, Fortune 500 household names and everything in between. There, I was dubbed ‘The Renaissance Man’ by my crew as I directed, shot, edited and flew the drone.Editing became a true passion for me at Koi-Fly where I handled Color Correction and custom Motion Graphics for the team. I also became enthusiastic about flying the drone to capture images from the sky. During this time, one of my many projects was Drone Operator for the Jonas Brothers’ most recent documentary, Chasing Happiness. Long Live the Mish was selected for the Napa Valley Film Festival. And we won a Silver ADDY for our TV spots for Boyds Spring 2019 collection. In August of 2022, Koi-Fly was acquired by a larger production company where I sharpened my production skills even more until I decided to go the freelance route in April 2023.
