  Take in customer requests for customized products and determine feasibility. Work with internal and external manufacturing options to determine best fit, taking into account costs and lead times.Create bills of material and establish labor times as needed dependent on project, and source any new components that are needed. Setup of finished product and any sub-components in ERP system and ensure all applicable documentation is properly linked and attached. Determine selling price based on existing product offerings, requested quantity and other extenuating circumstances if present, while maintaining healthy margins.Present finished quote to sales group for presentation to customer. Work with documentation/engineering group to ensure created product drawing is accurate, making adjustments with production facility if needed. Refresh existing custom products with up to date costs, lead times and make any data corrections that may be needed when customer requires a new quote.Manage changes to custom products as requested by customers or supplier as needed, working with documentation team to ensure revision control on drawings and bills of material. Verify bills of material are properly modified as part of controlled product change process. Work with new department employees to train in the proper quoting procedure, and work with existing employees to help with technical challenges as they emerge. Continually work with management on updating and refining procedures to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy.Work with sales group and/or purchasing group to help troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the ordering process.
