 Perform routine and non-routine analysis of stability, finished product and raw material samples based on SOP’s, USP monograph and current laboratory methodologies. Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instruments such as Dissolution Baths, Digital drying oven, HPLC, UV-Vis, GC, ICP, ICP-MS, FT-IR, FT-NIR, HP-TLC and titrators. Develop and validate analytical methods for new products and improve current analytical methods using HPLC, GC, HP-TLC or other instrumentation as required.  Assisted in the validation of the ICP-MS method which resulted in a cost avoidance of more than $600,000 in the first two years of use. Solely responsible for the development and validation of methods for the HP-TLC including powdered ginger root, powdered chamomile flowers, a blend of numerous powdered fruits and vegetables, garlic, and lemon balm. Lead trainer for the QC lab-train new hires and other chemists on standard operating procedures as directed by management. Serve on cross-functional teams for cleaning and rinse qualification. Write and edit SOP’s and analytical methods.  Attended various workshops, seminars, and webinars as it relates to current laboratory instruments in use. (HPLC/UPLC, FT-NIR, FT-IR, Autotitrators, HP-TLC) Responsible for calculation checks of other chemists’ work. Interpret and report analytical results. Assist in laboratory failure investigations. Responsible for keeping instrument calibration and maintenance current. Review and check other chemists’ results for accuracy and completeness
