How does change happen? I stimulate fresh thinking about our social, political and economic arrangements. I bring ideas to life by founding and building institutions, advising mayors and other leaders, and driving social and economic change. My background incorporates economic development, training as an architect and urban planner, and civic involvement. I have built organizations that have had a durable impact in New York City and across the United States. I was a founding member of the team that created the Center for Justice Innovation, which has established the proof points at scale and nationally for a justice system in which incarceration is rare and community involvement is the norm. As the founder and president of Bennett Midland, I worked with elected officials, municipal leaders and social entrepreneurs, delivering better results for all citizens.
