I am currently a full-time employee of Terrance A. Smith Distributing as a Procurement Coordinator/Forecast Analyst. In this role I control product ordering and shipment details. As a part of the ordering process I am tasked with forecasting for product quantity needs by using trending models and inventory level assessment. Regular coordination takes place between myself and product vendors, logistic companies, internal and external sales reps and the T.A. Smith leadership team to ensure the highest level of product quality, lean inventory and logistics efficiency. I maintain real time forecasting data utilizing salesforce analytics tools, forecasting software and excel spreadsheets and detailing ordering amount and inbound estimated time of arrival for a multitude of products including specific days of inventory levels for internal ordering use and vendor transparency. A high level of autonomy and accountability exists in this position.Previous to working as a Procurement Coordinator/Forecast Analyst for TA Smith, I was a Receiving Supervisor for Save A Lot Distribution Center. During this time, I dealt heavily with the Supervision of inbound product receiving and storage as well as outbound loading and shipping of perishable and nonperishable items. I was tasked with training/leading a team of up to 11 employees and ensuring company best practices and safety standards were maintained. I utilized and maintained a corporate wide data and logistics tracking system to for all outbound shipments. For our Inbound receiving process, a similar system was used to track all product detail and logistic transfer information. I worked my way into the Supervision position by showing exemplary performance and leadership in my various utility position on the warehouse floor. These included, first with order selection and forklift operations and later loading and receiving operations. Shorty before being offered a Supervisor position I held a shift lead position. In all roles outlined above I have always maintained a great reputation for being a strong leader and showing a good positive can do attitude, working well with peers and also excellent in autonomous projects.
