My fields of study in Global Studies, Mass Communications and Japanese Studies have allowed me to expand my skills in audio, video and content creation. While attending Winona State University, I was voice talent for “The Late Shift” on the university radio station 89.5 KQAL on Monday nights. My segments were both creative and educational while playing some of the best music available. Content creation allows me to scratch my creative itch. In 2018 I wrote a fiction piece that won the 2018 Winona Creative Writing Award in the Fiction category that was published by the university. I was also able to utilize my speaking skills in a Japanese speech contest in Chicago where I place fourth in the college student category. I have been a featured guest on a movie review podcast based in Minneapolis, MN. I will be continuing my Japanese language skills and global studies immersion by living in Tokyo in 2020 and attending Toyo University as an international exchange student.
