At Vaughan Endoscopy Clinic, Inc., the founding principles are to provide high quality and timely public screening colonoscopy in a comfortable environment.Members of the clinic are strong believers in the highest standards of patient care and have been active participants in the province's colon cancer screening program initiatives. The endoscopists performing the colonoscopies are all experienced physicians from Greater Toronto Area hospitals.Our vision is to reduce the long waits for quality services and eliminate the multiple doctor visits required in the hospital-based system.The VEC doctors work closely with our highly experienced in-house staff to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures and provide you with excellent medical attention. The medical team consists of endoscopists, specially trained nurses, technical support staff, and administrative assistants. The Vaughan Endoscopy Clinic is usually supported by board-certified anaesthetists for administration of intravenous sedation.The founding physicians have been active participants in the province's colon cancer screening program initiatives, including participation with Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) in the development of the FOBT screening program. They have also participated in the development of the CCO quality guidelines, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Endoscopy guidelines, and the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology's Colon Screening Guidelines.

Toronto Digestive Disease Associates (TDDA) is a professional organization dedicated to clinical research specializing in gastroenterology and diseases of the liver. Affiliated with TDDA are 12 gastroenterologists who serve a large, multi-ethnic population. The combined referral base spans over 700 family physicians serving approximately 3 million people. The TDDA partner physicians are also affiliated with six hospitals within the Greater Toronto Area.Since its inception in 1999, TDDA has successfully completed over 300 phase II, III and IV research projects sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry. Enrollment targets have consistently been met and have often exceeded sponsor's expectations.Since 1999, we have participated in over 100 clinical studies in the following therapeutic areas: chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, Crohn's disease, dyspepsia, erosive esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, irritable bowel syndrome, and ulcerative colitis.
