Lead and manage continuous product quality improvement and manufacturing process optimization projects. Validate optimum conditions in laboratory and implement in a large scale manufacturing environment.Drive initiatives to identify process simplification, streamlined process by changing the order of purification steps while maintaining purity levels achieving greater flexibility in production planning and increased production hours.Responsible for technical support of over 2 dozen commercialized products and hundreds of intermediary reactions. Collaborate on a daily basis with cross functional partners including engineering, QA, production and supply chain to optimize efficiencies of both the chemical process flow and equipment usage.Collaborate with strategic customers on new product development opportunities. Includes customer needs assessment, development of new products from current feed stocks, isolation and characterization of products.Five new products are currently undergoing assessment by customers to determine if they can be formulated to meet their market needs.Focus on supporting sustainability strategy through identification of opportunities for reduction of toxic chemicals, use of catalytic reactions where possible and decreasing volume of hazardous waste.Risk assessment of all new chemicals, procedures and equipment usage in accordance to all environmental, health and safety guidelines.

Simultaneously execute multiple synthetic chemistry projects in ambiguous and changing environments, anticipating critical situations. Steered over 25 potential drugs through development while minimizing the cost of raw materials, mitigating manufacturing risks while achieving high purity standards. Lead process development to solve complex problems in organic chemistry, re-evaluating plans based on rigorous analysis of results.Collaborate with cross functional teams on a daily basis for project completion and development of best practices in order to improve efficiency and increased productivity.
