• An integral member of the U23 coaching staff• Responsible for all aspects of running the team • Prepare players to make the transition into the 1st Team • Design and implement innovative training sessions• Do so in conjunction with other coaching staff • Ensure training is in line with Nottingham Forest’s philosophy• Plan, prepare and deliver structured coaching sessions• Tailor these to the players’ Individual Learning Programmes• Help produce a weekly Periodization programme• Lead technical sessions and warm-ups• Implement sessions for players who have not made the match day squad• Match day responsibilities including;- highlighting set-pieces- individual duties prior to the game- controlling the subs’ cards during the game - leading pre-match and half-time warm-ups• Conduct pre and post-match analysis sessions • Do so with individuals and the overall group• Provide positive feedback on performance levels • Pinpointing areas which can be strengthened• Carry out scouting and analysis of forthcoming opponents• Highlight strengths and weaknesses• Relay this information to players along with Head Coach and senior staff• Show leadership qualities• Provide support and guidance for players• Encourage them to believe they are on a progressive pathway• Liaise with other specialists, including medical and sports science staff• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team• Ensure a consistent approach to player development • Act as a role model and set an example• Do so in terms of professionalism, discipline and standards of behaviour expected
