Eric stared his career at UPS in August 1981 after graduating with a BS IE&OR from Cornell University. After learning experiences in UPS' San Francisco operations, he was promoted to the corporate offices in Greenwich, CT in 1986. In 1988, he lead teams that expanded UPS services to Asia Pacific as the Director of Engineering. Upon returning to the US in 1993, as UPS Corporate Finance Manager until 1997, he pioneered and installed the concept of dimensional weight pricing for UPS domestic air services, which has provided a material and ongoing impact on UPS profitability.
