Accounting and Treasury oversight: accounts receivable, invoicing and collections, accounts payable, short term cash forecasts and letters of credit. Manage fixed asset accounting: construction-in-progress tracking, acquisitions and disposals, capitalized interest calculations and impairment analysis. Work with internal and external auditors during audits to ensure full cooperation from accounting staff and compliance with requests.Draft and implement accounting policies and interpret guidance in regards to accounting transactions. Bank statement reconciliations. Work with internal audit team to establish effective internal controls.  Maintain general ledger and perform monthly account reconciliations and analyses. Manage sales/use taxes, property taxes and file required returns. Prepare journal entries and Inter-company transactions including monthly accruals and deferrals  Research issues related to IFRS and GAAP.  Lead monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close process.

Ensure that the accouting staff in a multi-divisional environment had the essential training, knowledge, equipment and other resources crucial for completing assigned responsibilities.Participate in the management of the business, monitoring, analysing and interpreting financial and operational reports.Provide financial advice to management to identify and resolve business issues. Supervise the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process of accounts.  Direct and control the financial functions. Develop policies and procedures as required for these functions. Evaluate the financial statements of the organization and compare actual outcome with the planned results. Note variations and submit suggestions to reduce deviations.  Prepare quarterly forecast and the annual operating budget. Analyze the financial statements to identify and resolve operational constraints.Monitor performance against budgets. Design and implement measures to improve the efficiency of the accounting system, procedures and practices.
