Columbia RUF exists to serve students and to point them to the amazing hope, freedom, and rest that is found in the Christian Gospel. My deepest desires in this ministry are for Columbia students to come to know and experience the love of Jesus in community with others, grow in their understanding of how their faith in Christ impacts every aspect of their lives, then watch them move out into the world to serve the Lord through their vocations and in our churches.

Responsible for welcoming new young adults, connecting them with others, and helping them assimilate into the life of our church. Coordinated community groups for young professionals and encouraged their leaders. Helped lead one of the community groups where we studied Scripture, enjoyed fellowship, and prayed together. Taught Sunday School classes on Ruth and Developing a Biblical Worldview. Co-led a small group of college students and preached occasionally at our college ministry’s large group meetings.

I worked for three summers (2007, 2008, 2011) to help develop and conduct all summer programming for middle and high school ministries, including teaching Sunday School and Bible studies, organizing outreach events, recruiting volunteers, encouraging parents, and co-leading retreats. I also launched and ran the church’s Summer College Fellowship program, and discipled several male students during my time at WEPC.
