•Principles, practices and methods of public administration including personnel supervision and management, project and division budgeting, customer service, public relations, and modern office methods including practices, procedures and equipment. •Knowledge and application of pertinent Federal, State and local laws, regulations and procedures concerning urban planning, land use and zoning, environmental compliance, community and economic development, housing and redevelopment, private/public financing, real estate development, acquisition, disposition, hazardous waste, and owner/tenant relocation.•Ability to understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances affecting assigned projects; extensive experience with development plans (architectural and engineering), subdivisions, architectural elevations, use permits, variances, parcel manipulations, and other typical related applications. •Ability to review and prepare environmental compliance documentation required by California state and local laws. •Extensive project management experience with the ability to simultaneously manage, coordinate, plan, and implement complex planning, housing, and/or redevelopment projects, with activities including rehabilitation, vacant land use, design, permit processing, and environmental compliance.•Ability to solicit, negotiate, prepare, and monitor internal and external consultant contracts/agreements and associated budgets for a variety of tasks including environmental compliance, appraisals, surveys, testing, abatement, demolition, soil analysis, and hazardous waste removal.•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted during the course of work; including extensive staff report preparation and public presentations before City Councils, Planning Commissions, Housing and Redevelopment Commissions, Design Review Boards and other advisory bodies.Specialties: Current PlanningEnvironmental PlanningReal Estate SalesProperty Management
