CurrentManage a department of engineers, lead technicians, mechanics, programmers and operators to support the continuous operations of the site’s utility plant as well as overall site systems. • Utility systems supported include high temperature hot water, chilled water, low temperature (brine) chilled water, de-ionized water, domestic water, compressed air, site high voltage switchgear, Instrumentation and Controls, architectural systems and site natural gas distribution• Ancillary systems include site architectural support and roofing, 2 miles of utility trestles, 2 million gallons per day of municipal and site production well usage, and site fire protection• Completed the roll out of the chiller optimization project, a comprehensive controls and operational strategy update to the site’s 50,000 ton chilled water system. Recognized a $1.3M energy savings along with a NYSERDA rebate of $2.5M in the first year of operation• Utilize Demand Flow learning to implement a similar project on 480 million BTU boiler plant to improve reliability and garner energy and fuel savings• Manage $2.2M department budget as well as the overall management for $150M Site Operations budget, drive quarterly forecasting within 5% of actual spend• Provide 100% uptime of utility systems within tight specifications to manufacturing customers, respond to all service interruptions around the clock • Actively recruit, interview and hire new candidates for engineering and technician openings• Committed to support 5% energy conservation target year over year
