Growing up in a first generation immigrant household in a predominantly non-diverse area of New Jersey, I was an outlier in terms of demographics. Therefore, I learned quickly to respect the perspectives of others from differing backgrounds. This was further developed during my time in college in a global city like Boston, which attracted other students and professionals from around the world. I learned to not only respect, but see the value in working with and learning from others who may come from completely different upbringings. I enjoy learning new concepts, new cultures, and new perspectives from those around me and incorporating them together to solve problems or brainstorm new ideas.My respect for new cultures and experiences naturally stems from my love of travel. I've traveled to over 20 countries, primarily in Asia and western Europe, and I'm always looking ahead to the next new destination. Became proficient in running upstream unit operations within the lab to produce AAV (adeno-associated virus) through the manipulation of insect cell cultures in small and large scale bioreactors.- Performed extensive data analysis of executed lab runs in order to further optimize the process by improving yield and product quality. Utilized Minitab to visualize and quantify relevant statistical parameters which were periodically presented to the greater team.- Managed and ordered lab equipment required for each run; kept in close contact with supply chain in order to preemptively address any potential issues.
