Maker of avant-garde performance crossing boundaries between Theatre, Movement & Art. Inspired by philosophy and comedy.Born in Scotland. Eric studied theatre at the University of Warwick and trained at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Extensive theatre experience includes The Young Vic; DV8 Physical Theatre; David Glass Ensemble; V-TOL; Citizens Theatre Glasgow; TAG Theatre Glasgow; Red Shift; Manchester Royal Exchange; Bristol Old Vic; Theatre of Comedy Company; Royal National Theatre Studio; Boilerhouse; Volcano; Lumiere & Son; Theatre-Rites; London Bubble; Shunt; Nutkhut; Stumbledance Circus; Station House Opera and National Theatre of Scotland. He was recently commissioned by the Scottish Arts Council to make his first solo work - The Abbot of Unreason.In recent years Eric has enjoyed working on a number of site-specific theatre projects notably Beachcomber a promenade show on the isle of Terschelling; Half-Life around neolithic sites on the west coast of Scotland, and Salt a promenade show in the Zollverein world heritage site in the industrial Ruhr near Essen. Eric has appeared in The Government Inspector by Gogol at the Young Vic in London directed by Richard Jones. He recently appeared in a new adaptation of Anna Karenina (screenplay by Tom Stoppard) directed by Joe Wright. The Borgias (3rd series) written and directed by Neil Jordan.Eric played Tenzigo Weems in ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY.Eric played Papa Gonzales in the award winning production of SUMMER AND SMOKE at the Almeida Theatre and in the West End.
