About Eric Maggard
Recently started a new company, Data Savers US, helping businesses by digitizing paper documents to searchable PDFs. I can also assist companies by extracting other information or sections of pages so they have all of the data at their fingertips.While I worked at HP, I built Computer Vision applications and test tools for printer and scanner image analysis. The software was used in several HP divisions and at a couple of HP contract companies. Over the last 6 years, gained an interest in robotics, and have built a couple of mobile robotic platforms including the VP mobile robot featured in the HP Makers video. Collaborated and built test robotics for several divisions around HP, including a prototype mobile robot for the Chief Technology Office at HP. Have a good working knowledge of open source tools such as OpenCV, Boost, and ROS, and have built robots with the latest embedded Linux platforms such as Beaglebone Black, Raspberry Pi3 and NVIDIA Jetson boards.
