I am an experienced entrepreneur, chief executive, and Chairman with a passion for entrepreneurship and disruptive technologies. I am an energetic leader who enjoys working with high-caliber teams to create and scale businesses. My experience includes startup development, early-stage Angel and Private Placement funding, Venture Capital, Private Equity, IPO, public company management, public and private Board leadership, global operations, M&A, and integration strategy and management.As President of Stryker Spine, I led a team of executives from legacy Stryker Spine and legacy K2M through the integration of these businesses to post acquisition driven growth. I joined Stryker as part of its 2018 $1.4B acquisition of K2M Group Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTWO), a medical device company I founded in 2004 to address the world’s most challenging spinal pathologies. At K2M, I served as the company’s Chairman, President, and CEO. I worked with a team of strong leaders. Together we grew K2M from an idea to a publicly traded global franchise supporting Orthopedic and Neurosurgeons’ treatment of patients in over 40 countries. From founding to the to the ultimate acquisition by Stryker, K2M posted 14 consecutive years of uninterrupted revenue growth. While leading Stryker Spine, I worked with a talented M&A team to acquire sister companies Mobius Imaging and Cardan Robotics for $500M. This strategic initiative also included the integrations of the Stryker Advance Guidance Technologies Business Unit. The combination of these businesses positioned Stryker with a leading imaging, navigation and robotics platform to support the global Neurosurgical and Orthopedic spine surgeon community.Prior to founding K2M, I founded and served as the President & CEO of American OsteoMedix, Inc. (“AOM”), a pioneering minimally invasive spinal device company. AOM was acquired by Interpore Cross International in 2001. Following the acquisition, I served as the President of the Minimally Invasive Division of Interpore Cross International.I currently serve as an advisor to VC and PE firms, as well as numerous early-stage technology ventures. I remain an active member of the medical device industry and have served on the Board of Directors of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association, as well as the AdvaMed CEO Advisory Council.
